This kit was designed to give your 91-94 Ford Explorer or 83-97 Ranger actual off road performance suspension. The kit features cut and turned beams which are a critical component when it comes to building a GoFastExplorer. The factory Dana 35 beams are modified in the lower ball joint "ear" to maintain proper camber/caster angles throughout the suspension travel. The drop down brackets found in other lift kits are a major weak point. This kit maintains the factory pivot brackets.
The radius arms included in the kit are built with 1.75" x .120 DOM tube and .25″ plate. The horizontal tubes run on different planes to create triangulation. This adds an incredible resistance to bending vs radius arms found in other kits. They pivot on massive 1.25" heim joints, and the added length and articulation allows the front wheels travel on a larger arc. You'll notice a much smoother ride in the rough terrain.
Explorers will require the radius arm pivot boxes to be welded to frame. All other components of the kit bolt on. This kit boasts 12" of wheel travel, and will hold it's own in the dirt along side kits costing twice as much on newer vehicles!
